Dr. David Sheps

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. David Sheps is a Royal College Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon at our False Creek Healthcare Centre. He also serves as the Faculty Medical Director for Sturgeon Community Hospital; Attending Orthopedic Surgeon for WorkSafeBC; Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Orthopedics for the University of Alberta; and a Consulting Orthopedic Surgeon for the National Hockey League Players Association.  He received his Medical Doctorate (MD) in 1997 from the University of Winnipeg and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery from the University of Saskatchewan. He has his fellowship in Shoulder and Knee Surgery from the University of Alberta and Fellowship in Elbow and Wrist Surgery from the University of Calgary. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology from the University of Calgary, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration in Health Care from the University of British Columbia. He has 19 peer-reviewed publications and is an avid reviewer for the Shoulder & Elbow and the Canadian Journal of Sports Medicine.
