Dr. Frederick Loiselle


Frederick Loiselle is a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Calgary Alberta. Broad based training and expertise support his commitment to excellent patient outcomes. Whether they seek return of form and function after trauma or aesthetic surgery of the breast and body-his insight and judgment are rivalled only by his focus on patient care.

Dr. Loiselle has extensive surgical training ranging from hand and wrist surgery, microsurgery, oncology reconstructive surgery to aesthetic surgery. Dr. Loiselle has completed 18 years of post secondary training prior to opening practice in 2012 including a BSc Biochemistry from the University of Victoria, PhD physiology from University of Alberta, MD University of Calgary. Following this he was accepted into the prestigious reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery program also at the University of Calgary.

Upon becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada he completed an additional year postgraduate fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Loiselle is one of only a few surgeons in Canada who have combined training in both orthopaedic and plastic surgery.

Dr. Loiselle is a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine and regularly lectures on hand and craniofacial surgery. He participates in both the undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programs at the U of C. He has several peer reviewed publications and had presented at several national conferences.

In addition to membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada he is also a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, the Alberta Society of Plastic Surgeons and the BC hand society.
