Dr. Robert M. Hollinshead

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Robert Hollinshead is a Royal College Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, practicing arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder surgery at our Calgary Surgical Centre, Canadian Surgery Solutions. He also serves as a Clinical Professor for the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine and an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary.

He also practices at the University of Calgary’s Sports Medicine Centre. He received his Medical Doctorate (MD) in 1971 from the University of Manitoba, followed by the completion of his rotating internship in 1972 from Foothills Hospital. He completed his General Surgery Residency in 1976 from Dalhousie University and Orthopedic Residency in 1979 from the University of Alberta. He has 23 peer-reviewed publications and his research interests include outcomes in rotator cuff surgery, shoulder instability-rotator cuff tears-arthroscopic repair techniques, MRI/Arthroscopy evaluation of the shoulder.
