For patients who are seeking to get a medical examination for an ICBC injury claim
What is an ICBC Injury Examination?
For patients who are seeking medical examinations and treatment plans and who have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, with a claim being issued to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).
Our physician, Dr. Smit, follows the standards put forth by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and can assess any type of injury. He is experienced in diagnosing injuries, with post-graduate qualifications in managing motor vehicle injuries.
What are Registered Care Advisors?
Our physicians are licensed with ICBC as a Registered Care Advisor. Patients can only access this service if they have received a referral from their doctor. The Registered Care Advisor’s role is to provide expedited medical assessments to patients, with the intent to inform family physicians on appropriate diagnosis and treatment options.
RCA’s are able to provide a second opinion for patients who are not recovering as expected, unclear diagnosis or other factors impacting the patient’s recovery.
